How to Manage Your Availability on Purfurry

Managing your availability correctly is one of the most important responsibilities as a provider on Purfurry. Keeping it updated ensures a smooth experience for pet parents and improves your visibility on the platform. Providers who update their availability regularly are ranked higher in search results.

Where to Find Availability Settings

  • Step 1: Go to Your Listings from your dashboard.
  • Step 2: Select the listing you want to manage.
  • Step 3: Click on Manage Availability.

Understanding Your Weekly Booking Capacity

When you click Manage Availability, you will see your weekly view.

At the top, you can set how many bookings you can accept per day for that week. This number represents your standard daily capacity.

For example:

If you enter 3, you can accept up to 3 bookings per day.

If you enter 0, you are not available to accept bookings for that day.

This is your default availability.

Using “Add Exception” for Specific Dates

Below your weekly capacity, you will see a link called Add Exception.

This feature allows you to override your normal booking capacity for specific dates.

How to Use Add Exception

  • Click Add Exception.
  • Select the date or date range.
  • Set the availability for those selected dates:
  • Set it to 0 if you are unavailable.
  • Increase it if you can take more pets than usual.
  • Decrease it if you want to limit bookings for that period.
  • Save your changes.

Exceptions are useful for:

  • Vacations or personal time off
  • Peak demand periods
  • Temporary staffing changes
  • Special situations where you can take more or fewer pets

Why Regular Updates Are Critical

Your availability directly impacts customer experience.

If a pet parent sends a booking request and you decline due to lack of availability, it creates friction and reduces trust in the platform. This leads to:

  • Update your weekly capacity at least once a week.
  • Use Add Exception immediately when plans change.
