1. Baseline eligibility — hard no's from the start: Applicants without prior pet handling experience, without a safe enclosed home space, or currently studying full-time are declined immediately. No exceptions, no workarounds. This filter alone keeps out a significant portion of applicants.

2. A 40-minute in-depth assessment — not a 2-minute call: Our team of seasoned boarders conducts a structured, 40-minute assessment call with every applicant. We walk through real scenarios drawn directly from past boarding situations. How someone responds tells us far more than a form or a quick chat ever could.

3. Scored against a rigorous rubric: Every response is evaluated by our team and rated on a structured scale. Anyone who falls below our threshold is rejected — regardless of experience claimed or presentation. The score is final.

4. Full KYC and reference verification: Every approved boarder completes identity verification (KYC). We also check references — online and personally — before they can accept their first booking. Only then does a boarder become a Purf Boarder.
