Tips after you have completed a booking
We are so excited for this upcoming booking! Our goal is to make this a seamless, stress-free, and joyful experience for everyone involved. To ensure the safety of the pets and the peace of mind of our community, we’ve put together a quick guide to help you prepare for a successful hand-off.
Dos and Donts
For the Pet Parent
Ensure your pet has a smooth transition and you have total peace of mind.
The Dos:
✅ Bring ID: Always carry your valid photo ID and proof of address for the provider to verify. It's best to carry the pet's vaccination and registration records as well.
✅ Pack a "Home" Scent: Bring a familiar blanket or toy to help lower your pet's anxiety in a new place.
✅ Update Info: Ensure emergency contact details and vet information are written down clearly for the provider.
✅ Be Transparent: Disclose any history of separation anxiety, health issues, or specific behavioral quirks.
✅ Food and Treats: Carry your pet's food or treats as per the consensus with the pet care provider.
The Don’ts:
❌ Don’t Rush the Drop-off: Leave 10–15 minutes to discuss schedules and say a calm goodbye.
❌ Don’t Change the Diet: Stick to their regular food; now is not the time to experiment with new treats or brands.
❌ Don’t Forget Safety Gear: Check that all leashes, collars, or carriers are secure and in good working order.
❌ Don’t Over-dramatize Departure: Keep your exit upbeat so your pet doesn't mirror your stress or anxiety.
